Run your own St Austell Brewery pub

Would you like to run a St Austell Brewery pub?

Be part of a winning team

We are always on the look out for talented, enthusiastic people with the right skills and experience to join us as tenants, to run one of St Austell Brewery's pubs, hotels and inns in Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and the Isles of Scilly.

It's simple - by running a St Austell Brewery pub, you will be part of:

  • an award-winning family-owned regional brewer
  • a company with a long-term outlook and who holds traditional values
  • a company who positively invest in their pubs and in their people
  • a company with top quality beers, people and pubs

You may be completely new to the pub industry and fancy a career change, you may already be an experienced pub manager and are now looking to take that next step to running your own business, or you may be an entrepreneur wishing to build a business empire. Whatever your individual goals and aspirations may be, we are here to support you and to help you make that next important step.

The Barley Sheaf, LiskardSt Austell Brewery is one of the few remaining traditional breweries and each of their pubs has an individual personality and soul. It is refreshing that there are still some of the tried and tested ‘old school’ methods and principles still in operation. I for one wish St Austell Brewery continued success in helping to maintain the classic British Pub tenancy whilst keeping up with the necessary 21st Century management practices and technology

Gary Swift, Landlord, The Barley Sheaf, Liskeard

New to the trade?

Pre-Entry Awareness Training (PEAT) is an e-learning package that identifies the main issues which need to be considered and investigated before signing a pub tenancy or lease agreement with us. It is accredited by BIIAB, the Ofqual regulated awarding body which is part of BII, the professional body for the licensed retail industry.

The programme costs £20 + VAT and will take on average 2 hours to complete. Successful candidates will be provided with a BIIAB certificate to confirm that they understand the obligations and responsibilities of taking out a tenancy or lease.
