One of the UK pub industry’s rising young stars has taken over the reins at St Austell Brewery’s popular William IV pub, in Truro. 

Award-winning licensee Stephanie Todd, has high hopes for the William after gaining national recognition for the way she ran her first St Austell Brewery pub on the Isles of Scilly. 

St Austell Brewery’s ambition to become one of the UK’s greenest brewing and pub companies received a boost this week when it was named the greenest business in Cornwall. 

The Brewery won the Best Managed Large Business category and then went on to scoop the award for Overall Winner in the 2009 Cornwall Sustainability Awards. 

 Regulars at Pelynt’s Jubilee Inn got a treat this week (Monday November 30) when they were joined by Dad’s Army legend, Bill Pertwee.

Bill made a stop off at the St Austell Brewery pub to sign copies of his latest book, Dad’s Army: The Making of a Television Legend. 

More than 400 people have celebrated the reopening of Exeter’s Whipton and Pinhoe Labour club. 

The popular club, which recently reopened after a major internal refurbishment, invited members and local dignitaries to the special event to mark the completion of the £25,000 project.
