Pop legend, Paul Young, better known for his fantastic music career, visited the White Horse Inn, Launceston on Thursday, 2^nd August and surprised some of the locals by helping to pour pints for them.

Paul, was at the White Horse for a book signing session of his new cookbook, Recipes Found On My Travels and after signing the book for waiting fans, he decided that he had never poured a pint and thought it was about time he tried it.

Cornwall’s Lord Lieutenant Edward Bolitho has appointed four new Deputy Lord Lieutenants to help him in his work.  

The Lord-Lieutenant is Her Majesty The Queen's personal representative in Cornwall, with the appointment made by The Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister.  Although the role is a historic one, today’s Lord Lieutenants fulfill a wide range of duties.  

We are pleased to announce that St Austell Brewery beers have scooped Gold, Silver and bronze Awards at this year’s International Beer Challenge.

Gold medal was awarded for Proper Black, silver medals for Admiral’s Ale, Proper Job and HSD and bronze medals for Smugglers Vintage Ale and Korev.

Charities from across the region came together last week (Tuesday July 3^rd) at a special celebration evening at St Austell Brewery. 

St Austell Brewery’s Charitable Trust organised the event to mark reaching a fundraising milestone of £300,000.
