Fancy getting some top rugby tips while having a beer with the Cornish Pirates? Then head to St Austell Brewery on Wednesday, August 11 to meet the players!

The first team for the 2010-11 season will be visiting the Brewery for a guided tour, to meet staff and customers and sample some award-winning St Austell Brewery ales.

New Lease Of Life For Iconic Plymouth Pub

One o300710_DCA_The_Waterfront_008_compf Plymouth’s most iconic pubs – the Waterfront, on Grand Parade – opens today (Friday, July 30 2010) after getting a new lease of life thanks to a local family.

The prominent waterside pub reopened at 5pm following a significant investment by St Austell Brewery and the new leaseholders. Helping to pull the first pint were Plymouth Argyle footballer Reda Johnson and Plymouth City Council leader Vivian Pengelly.

Beach Party Raises Charity Cash

GyllyMoney01_compBoard shorts and bow ties were the theme of a party held at the Gylly Beach Café, Falmouth, in aid of the St Austell Brewery Charitable Trust. The event, which attracted more than 150 people, was held during the World Cup and raised a whopping £750 for the Trust.

Stuart Smith, Sales Development Manager for St Austell Brewery, said: “It was a fantastic event and we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone at the Gylly, including the manager Mark Agnew and his brilliant staff.

Cornwall’s first premium quality lager launched

Roger Ryman, St Austell Brewery’s head brewer, pictured with the first bottles of Korev to come off the bottling line.It’s been almost 160 years in the making – now St Austell Brewery has launched its first premium quality Cornish lager. 

The bottled lager named Korev, the traditional Cornish word for beer, has hit pubs and bars in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset.
