Beers lovers are in for a treat after Admirals Ale, which was recently crowned the world's best bottled beer was launched on draft - for a limited period only.
The ale, supreme champion at the International Beer Challenge's ‘World's 50 Best Beers', will be rolled out in draught across St Austell Brewery's estate after being unveiled at St Austell Brewery's Annual Trade Fair. It's part of a programme of special seasonal ales being released by the Brewery during 2009.
The one-day trade fair at the Hall for Cornwall, Truro, (Tuesday April 28) featured over 45 trade stalls and attracted more than 300 licensees, managers and stewards of bars, pubs and clubs across Cornwall to see the latest innovations in drinks brands and developing trends in the industry.
As well launching Admirals Ale being on draught, St Austell Brewery also unveiled the latest addition to the impressive range of wines available through the its Walter Hicks wine merchants business.
For anyone in the licensed trade, St Austell Brewery's Annual Trade Fair exhibits everything licensees need to run their business under one roof, from a comprehensive selection of drinks, through to pub signage and snacks.
As well as the Brewery's own selection of award-winning ales, the event also showcased the very best in a wide range of national drinks brands.
Ian Blunt, St Austell Brewery sales and distribution director, said: "As the South West's largest wholesale distributor of beer, wines and spirits St Austell Brewery is well placed to exhibit a complete range for anyone in the licensed trade.
"We're delighted that this year's trade show was one of the busiest yet and the mood amongst visitors was one of optimism ahead of the coming season."
