Roberto Ijalba will host a five-course dinner and wine tasting event at St Austell Brewery's Pescadou Restaurant in Padstow.
The fives courses will be inspired by the cuisine of Spain and - but featuring the very best in locally sourced produce, including fresh fish, meat and the finest West Country cheeses.
They will be accompanied by wines created by the Ijalba family, with St Austell Brewery's Wine Buyer Xenia Irwin MW discussing the selection with Roberto and offering expert insight into the pairing of the wines with the five course meal prepared by Head Chef Marcus Van Luttmer.
Roberto is the son of Santiago Ijalba, creator of the Viña Hermosa brand, created from a winery close to Haro in Northern Spain. Roberto has inherited his father's passion and ample experience in making and ageing great wines, in a family tradition that dates back to 1964.
Xenia Irwin MW- Wine Buyer for St Austell Brewery's Walter Hicks business and one of only 260 people world wide to hold the elite Master of Wine qualification - says the evening will be a fantastic opportunity for guests to come and enjoy fine wine coupled with fantastic food.

St Austell Brewery's Walter Hicks Wine Merchants is the sole supplier in the South West of England for Ijalba wines. Walter Hicks supplies wines to many of the region's top restaurants, hotels and bars.
