South West’s biggest brewer supporting Cornwall Twestival Local

twest_logoAward-winning Cornish Brewery, St Austell Brewery, has been announced as the latest company supporting Cornwall Twestival Local.

The Brewery is supporting the event, which is one of only 23 events taking place in the country and the only event happening in the South West by providing the welcome refreshments for guests.

On arrival at the event, which is being held at the Bedruthan Steps Hotel, a spectacular cliff top location near Newquay on Saturday September 12 from 7:30pm, guests will be greeted with a welcome drink, supplied by St Austell Brewery.

The Twestival concept, which started on the micro-blogging platform, Twitter, aims to connect people offline at the same time as raising money for worthy causes. A series of Twestival Local events are being held at locations across the globe between the 10th and 13th September and will all raise valuable funds for a nominated local charity.

Jeremy Mitchell, head of marketing at St Austell Brewery, said: "The Brewery is delighted to be supporting Cornwall Twestival Local. As a business whose roots are very much Cornish we're proud to be behind the event which will support a charity based in the county.

"Bedruthan Steps Hotel is a fantastic location for an event like this. I am sure there will be lots of people keen to book a tickets and be part of this global concept of fund raising and having fun."

The Cornwall Twestival Local event will include live music, a DJ and a charity auction which will feature top prizes donated by local businesses. Naturally with a venue so closely associated with the sea, the event's theme will be ‘Beach Chic' - smart evening wear with a beach inspired twist.

Tickets are already selling well for the event, with all of the allocated early-bird tickets sold out. For more information, or to buy a ticket, please visit: http://www.cornwall.twestival.com
