More than 400 people have celebrated the reopening of Exeter’s Whipton and Pinhoe Labour club.
The popular club, which recently reopened after a major internal refurbishment, invited members and local dignitaries to the special event to mark the completion of the £25,000 project.
Exeter-based glam rock band Diamondogz provided the entertainment and staff from St Austell Brewery also joined in the evening’s celebrations to mark a recent new deal, which now sees the Brewery’s award-winning selection of ales stocked at the club’s bar.
Pete Wilkie, Sales Development Manager, St Austell Brewery, said: “We were delighted to join in the evening’s celebrations to mark the completion of Whipton and Pinhoe’s new look Labour Club. As well as some great entertainment, the evening also helped to raise money for local charities through the St Austell Brewery Charitable Trust.”
The Whipton and Pinhoe Labour club has extensive facilities and entertainment including snooker tables, dartboards, live music three out of four Saturdays, regular bingo and poker nights.
