The first 3D football match in the area was screened at St Austell Brewery’s Grenville Arms, Nanpean.

More than 50 people donned 3D glasses for the big event – the Manchester United versus Chelsea football match.

Landlord Mark Phillips said: “Customers came from Wadebridge and Lostwithiel to watch it, and they loved it.

“It was like being in the stadium, which really added to the atmosphere.

“Although the Manchester United fans were disappointed with the result, they were delighted with the experience – as was I. We took four times as much behind the bar as a normal football match.”
