High-quality billboard adverts featuring the South West’s favourite beer will be appearing across Devon and Cornwall over the coming weeks.
Huge 48-sheet posters for Tribute are about to go up in key locations across the two counties to capture the main tourist trade. Tribute now accounts for 70 per cent of St Austell Brewery’s beer sales of 55,000 brewers’ barrels produced every year.
Using the beer’s slogan “You’ve Earned It”, the adverts show various ways to earn a cold pint of Tribute this summer – including a man trying in vain to pull his wetsuit off on the beach, a couple with their catches after returning from a fishing trip and a group of friends having trouble putting their tent up.
St Austell Brewery used iconic Cornish locations for the posters, including Holywell Bay, Watergate Bay, Mevagissey and Carloggas Downs.
Jeremy Mitchell, Marketing Director for St Austell Brewery, said: “The “You’ve Earned It” campaign has worked brilliantly so far in linking Tribute to our sponsorship of sports such as rugby and gig rowing.
“The new posters now grow the “You’ve Earned It” idea to celebrate the laid back Cornish lifestyle, and our beautiful landscape.
We hope that visitors will try Tribute when they visit the South West and remember it when they return home.”
The adverts were created by Barnstaple advertising agency Bray Leino and local photographer Mike Evans.
