St Austell Brewery triumphs at the Publican Awards

St_Austell_-_GBPSA_WINNERSt Austell Brewery had reason to pay ‘Tribute’ to their team last night (Tuesday 27th March) after scooping an award at the country’s leading pub industry awards.

The Cornish brewer was awarded Regional Brewery of the Year 2012 at The Publicans’ Supplier Awards.

It’s the ultimate pub industry accolade for one of the oldest businesses in Cornwall, as it’s voted for purely by licensees across the United Kingdom. In the category, voters were asked to consider branding, quality, local support and customer demand.

Guests gathered to hear the winners announced at a glitzy ceremony at London’s Grosvenor Hotel. The latest win follows a string of awards in recognition of St Austell Brewery’s approach to both the business and the quality of its ales.

James Staughton, Managing Director of St Austell Brewery, said: “This latest award-win is truly fantastic for all involved. Our constant focus is on brewing and delivering fantastic beers and so to say we are the UK’s favourite regional brewer among the nation’s pub landlords is no mean feat.”

The Publicans’ Supplier Awards run with the support of thousands of Publican's Morning Advertiser readers who vote for their preferred suppliers across a range of different sectors. Last year 7,500 votes were cast for the pub industry's top suppliers.

Brewer of the South West’s favourite ales and the region’s leading pub company and wholesaler, St Austell Brewery is one of the oldest businesses in Cornwall and one of the largest, independently run, family owned brewer in the UK.
