Just under five month’s since it unveiled four chic new rooms, St Austell Brewery is delighted to announce The Norway Inn in Perranarworthal, has been awarded 5* accreditation by Quality in Tourism scheme.
The new luxury rooms were opened at the pub in December last year and have fast made their mark as a stylish place to stay near Truro and Falmouth.
The Quality in Tourism assessor commented that “the tastefully decorated and furnished rooms provide a very comfortable base” and “newly arriving guests cannot fail to be impressed by the standard of accommodation on offer”.
Anthony Wildgoose, landlord at the Norway Inn, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have secured a 5* grading for our accommodation. We aim for the highest possible standards during guests’ whole stay from the minute you arrive, the dining experience and through to breakfast the next day so it’s great to have gained ‘official’ recognition for this.”
Quality in Tourism is the body contracted to award the VisitBritain grading. Assessment takes place in the form of an inspector visiting accommodation providers and giving a routine evaluation.
St Austell Brewery is currently undertaking a multi-million pound investment of its network of traditional inns and hotels across the region. Further to this, The Old Custom House Barn, the accommodation adjacent to the Padstow pub, has also been awarded a 5* Gold standard by Quality in Tourism. The accreditations also come hot on the heels of St Austell Brewery being shortlisted for Accommodation Provider of the Year in the 2012 Publican Awards.
