September Fringe Festival - St Ives

 

The Lifeboat Inn hosts the St Ives September Fringe Festival from 8th – 23rd September which is a time for music – blues, rock, jazz, country and classical. The Lifeboat InnWharf RoadSt Ives TR26 1LFTel: 01736 794123

 

 

Sat 8 Sept

1:00 pm JOHN CRAMPTONA blues guitarist/singer from Brighton, making his first appearance in St Ives, he plays National Steel guitar, harmonica, foot stomping board & vocals. A one-man powerhouse.5:30 pm THE DIRTY LIVIN RHYTHM BANDA five piece St Ives based lively country blues band that has gained a strong following since forming fourteen months ago, led by guitarist Dave Lemm.9.00 pm ME & THE DEVILA well-established blues trio based in Cornwall with Steve Mole – guitars and vocals, MorganRobbins - harmonicas and Tony Hilton - Double Bass.

1:00 pm JIM CRAWFORDA north-west man now based in the Southwest, a fine folk/blues guitarist & composer.5:30 pm HEART & SOULA nine-piece soul band guaranteed to get you dancing.

 

Mon 10 Sept

5:30 pm JOHN ETHERIDGEFrom rock to modern jazz one of the finest guitarists in Britain today. He has worked with Soft Machine, Nigel Kennedy, Jim Mullen & John Williams. He is joined by PETE KUBRYK-TOWNSEND on Double Bass & and a American drummer JOHNATHAN JOSEPH now based in Devon.

5:30 pm CELL BLOCK 9A Classic R & B Band influenced by Dr. Feelgood.

 

Wed 12 Sept

5:30 pm NEIL SMITHInternationally known classical guitarist, following recent tours of Austria, Spain & Russia will tonight play a programme of Spanish music.Thurs 13 Sept1:00 pm NEIL SMITHReturns playing a programme of European & Latin American music.5:30 pm BERNIE DAVIES & FRIENDSGuitarist Bernie in his search of great melodies trawls through American & English songbooks.

9.00 pm JON WALSHBlues guitarist, singer & harmonica player prior to his band arriving in town tonight plays a solo set.
