The County Arms is one of Truro’s most popular places to meet, eat, drink and now stay. From June 2011 the County Arms offers 33 top quality en-suite bedrooms, in addition to its popular bar and restaurant. The central mid-peninsula location makes this the perfect stopover for business trips and leisure breaks in Truro and Cornwall.

We offer an excellent food menu throughout the day as well as serving award-winning St Austell Brewery beers, superb wines, spirits and soft drinks. We have a large car park, a pool table, function room and an outside decked area overlooking amazing views of the valley; you can sit back, relax, enjoy the stunning scenery and sample our lovely food.

The warm and welcoming Inn has a relaxed and informal atmosphere and there is an outside decked area overlooking amazing views of the valley. You can sit back, relax and enjoy the beautiful backdrop whilst savouring a home-cooked meal, washed down with an award-winning St Austell Brewery Ale or a glass of carefully selected wine.

Food is available throughout the day, serving traditional pub food, imaginative daily-changing specials and breakfast options to suit all different appetites. We have our salad bar available everyday with a fantastic fresh selection to choose from and our Sunday Carvery is available every week from 12pm, just £7.95 per adult and £6.25 per child. We also offer top quality fairtrade coffees and we also have free wi-fi connection, so grab your laptop and pop in any time of the day!

The bar is open from 11.00am - 11.00pm Monday to Saturday and 12.00noon - 10.30pm on Sunday.
Food is served from 12.00noon - 9.00pm daily.

Designed and constructed by local firms to exacting environmental standards, our new bedrooms, with their contemporary furnishings and luxury Vi-Sprung mattresses, offer the ideal home-from-home experience. All 33 bedrooms provide the amenities that you would expect; modern en-suites, convenient work space, flat-screen televisions, refreshments tray and high quality mattresses that promise a good nights’ sleep.

Two of the bedrooms have been designed for those with disabilities and inter-connecting rooms, sofa-beds and cots make provision for family visits. Bedrooms at the rear of the property make the most of stunning scenery with Juliette balconies overlooking the wooded valley. WIFI is available throughout the building and quiet comfortable seating areas provide and an ideal spot to work or meet with colleagues.

We offer a selection of room types with prices ranging from £50 to £110 inclusive of VAT.
Breakfast and evening meal inclusive tariffs are also available.

Our already popular function room can accommodate 45 seated guests or 60 standing.

The set up of the room is flexible and we are able to accommodate most requests, we can also provide different catering options to suit your requirements and budgets:

  • We have a newly built self catering kitchenette for you to use. You will find inclusive tea and coffee making facilities inside.
  • We are able to provide a buffet for you and your guests. As the needs of groups vary we have three different options for you to choose from, all varying in size and price.
  • The County Arms has a fully functional restaurant on site serving home made, locally sourced, bar meals.


The costs for hiring the room are as follows:

  • Half a day (<7 hours) - £60
  • All Day (8hrs +) - £100
