A classic Cornish Riverside Inn , located on the edge of Mount Edgcumbe Country Park (former home to the Earls of Mount Edgcumbe) with its house, formal gardens, deer Park , folly and acres of spectacular park land.



Feeling energetic?  We are also situated on the scenic SW Coastal Path which leads through the park to the stunning villages of Kingsand and Cawsand.

Hungry? We serve quality food all day or why not enjoy a drink one of our outside benches with fabulous views of the Tamar River to Drakes Island and beyond.

Need a break? We have four comfortable en suite rooms with river views and also a one bedroomed self catering cottage.

The Cremyll passenger ferry stops directly outside of the pub. We are only a ten minute boat ride away from Plymouth with its historic Barbican, visitor attractions, shops, theatres, bars and restaurants.

We have four comfortable en suite bedrooms. 
Three are doubles and one is a twin.                                                                                                                                                

All have superb river views, TV, WI-FI, Tea and coffee making facilities and hairdryers and radio alarms. Travel cot and iron and ironing board available on request.

All rooms are non-smoking and we do not allow pets.

Car parking is provided for our guests in our private car park at the rear of the building.                      

Rooms are available from 2pm on the day of arrival, however you are welcome to check in, drop off your luggage and use our facilities earlier in the day.

Food is served all day and we pride ourselves in using fresh, locally sourced products wherever possible.

Our breakfast menu is served from 10am.                                                                  

Coffee and cakes served from 10am.

Snacks menu from 12 -5pm.                                                                                           

Cornish clotted cream teas from 3-5pm                                                                                              

Main menu from12- 9pm.

We also have a carvery which is served on:

Sundays from 12 all day until 8.30pm (choice of three meats)

Every lunchtime 12-2.30pm                                                                                                        

Fri and Saturday evenings from 6- 8.30pm                                                                                      

All meats used on our carvery are locally sourced.                                                                      

We are famous for our honey and mustard roasted parsnips and proper gravy! We also cater for vegetarians with a nut roast and we also have gluten free gravy on request.

We try to cater for everyone with a range of dishes from pub classics such as freshly battered cod, chips and mushy peas or Bubble and squeak with free range poached eggs to Moroccan lamb meatballs or Chicken rarebit. Fresh fish and shellfish are available from our specials board.                                                           
Lighter dishes are available from our snacks menu with sandwiches, ploughman’s, a Mediterranean sharing plate and a variety of salads.

We welcome children and accommodate them with a separate menu. High chairs and baby changing facilities are available.

Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in a set aside dining area.


Conference room: Monday to Friday £50.00 per day up to 5.30pm (excluding tea, coffee and lunch) Evening room rates negotiable. Visual flip charts available.


We are licensed for civil ceremonies in the Court Room, our upstairs functions room with beautiful views over the Tamar to Drakes Island.

We are only able to cater for the smaller wedding of up to 50 guests.

Menu choices can be adapted to suit most budgets with choices from: Afternoon Cream Teas and BBQ’s to traditional roasts and summer salads.

Evening receptions can also be catered for up to 150 people with a bbq or buffet from our choice of menus which will be suited to your requirements.

Our functions room is also available for meetings, large gatherings and parties.


We are situated in the beautiful and unspoiled Rame Peninsula.

Walking  We are on the SW coastal path and the edge of Mount Edgcumbe Park with its 800 acres of glorious woodland and scenic coastal walks

The Cremyll passenger ferry to Plymouth runs every ½ and hour to Plymouth.
