Welcome To The Pedn-Olva Hotel
Cornish Tourism Hotel Of The Year Bronze Award Winner 2006 |
| The hotel is unique in every way from its visual impact to the location itself. Some say that it is as close as you can be to floating on the sea without leaving dry land. The plethora of windows facing the sea allows our guests the privilege and pleasure to view St Ives at its very best. The view from the hotel remains exquisite through every season, from the calm turquoise warm beauty of the spring and summer, to the wild drama of vibrant winds causing the waves to crash against the hotel during the autumn and winter.
Contemporary, historic and breathtaking, but a few of the ways to describe the Pedn-Olva Hotel. Beautiful and unique the hotel stands on a rock that used to be a mine. Pedn-Olva (meaning to look out on the headland) is founded on blue-black rocks on the southern shores of St Ives' Harbour and Bay and since the 19th century has been a navigational mark for ships.
With a view panning 360 degrees across the bays, people stand in awe looking out at the aquamarine crystal sea mesmerised by the immense natural beauty of Cornwall.
 |
Having two open sun terraces the hotel
is truly blessed, giving our customers
the chance to relax, eat & drink in the
fresh air, drenching themselves in the
radiant Cornish sunshine, with 360 vista
of the bustling harbour of St Ives
and local coastline.
|
| The sheltered heated outdoor pool and sun terraces have direct access to Porthminster Beach. |
 |
Surrounded by the most dramatic view in St Ives all who visit are enchanted by the interior that is contemporary yet warm. The bar is styled with a drift wood exterior to compliment our walls decorated by paintings from local artists. The perfect setting to stimulate your senses.
Following through from the Bar, our open plan Restaurant designed in a modern style. With minimal table dressing to allow the natural beauty of our menu to shine through, complemented by careful use of lighting and candle light create a delicate ambience of shadows and light. With views of the sun kissed beach of Porthminster and following the coastline to Godrevey Lighthouse. Our Restaurant makes a fantastic location for any dining experience, whether its watching sunrise at breakfast, watching the day go by at lunch looking for seals or dolphins in the bay, or that romantic dining in the evening.

A STUNNING LOCATION WITH FABULOUS VIEWS AND THE HIGHEST STANDARDS OF CUSTOMER CARE.
Andrew Reilly and Drew Sanderson look forward to welcoming you. |

Food & DrinkTo compliment the astounding views location and service we are proud to offer a truly Cornish dining experience. From the hands that create the dish, to the food that is beautifully presented, Cornwall is represented unequivocally. It is evident when you are presented with, and then taste, the most fantastic food that you realise it is created using inspiration from the location of the hotel. The freshness of the ingredients encapsulates the surroundings and there is a certain romance about the fact that the seafood you are eating comes directly from the view in front of you. Where possible we use local suppliers, to ensure that the food is of the finest quality. |
