The William IV in Truro, the King of Pubs, has undergone a full interior transformation including relocation of the bar, extension of seating areas, ground floor alterations, complete external painting, replacement of windows and upgrading kitchen facilities. The conservatory and beer garden remain and have also been refreshed and updated with the garden area undergoing landscaping.
William IV was officially opened on Wednesday 23rd July by the Mayor of Truro, Councillor Mrs Susan Callen and Chairman of the Truro Chamber of Commerce, David Tandy of Follett Stock Solicitors.
Mr Tandy was very enthusiastic about the refurbishment saying: "Truro has a wide and diverse range of pubs, bars, restaurants and cafes all offering something a little bit different. It's fantastic to see the William IV restored to its full glory and offering traditional pub food at an extremely high standard, right in the heart of the city.
"St Austell Brewery has clearly invested both money and time into this project, the attention to detail and quality of the finished product is testament to their team. I wish the new management the very best and hope that the newly refurbished pub is a big hit with the locals and visitors alike."
With a new menu alongside a full range of St Austell Brewery ales (http://www.staustellbrewery.co.uk/), the William IV serves top quality traditional ‘pub grub' in family friendly surroundings from the morning through until 10pm daily. The newly refurbished pub welcomes new manager Jacqui Wyatt and Head Chef Gary Drew along with a team of 14 staff to manage the bar and kitchen.
