We welcome all families with open arms as we have a spacious family room and we also have a seperate dining area for grown ups only.
We are keen to promote the wealth of artisitic talent that surrounds us and we display art on our walls from some of our favourite local artists which can be purchased from us.
Every weekend we have live entertainment including acoustic acts on a Sunday afternoon from 3pm where you can put your feet up infront of our open fire and read the paper or play one of our many board games with friends and family.
If you are of a more competitive persausion, perhaps our pool table will make for a good challenge.
We have ample parking in our car park and a lovely little court yard garden to dine in when the sun makes that rare appearance!
Your four legged friend is more than welcome to accompany you and we always have a jar of treats on the bar for them too.

Opening Hours: 12 noon - 11.00 pm daily.
Open daily from midday until 11pm, we can tempt you with one of our cask mark certified St Austell Ales, local cider, a glass of wine or a delicious Matthew Algie coffee as well as an extensive range of bottled and soft drinks.
Food served 12 - 3 and 6 - 9pm daily.
We have a daily changing food menu which ranges from traditional pub classics to fresh fish & meat speciality dishes. Our head chef, Simon Kennard, strives to source our food locally where possible and everything is prepared by us. Our service times are from 12-3pm and 6-9pm and all day during the Summer season.
We also serve our very popular Sunday Cavery with a choice of three meats, local, seasonal vegetables and unbelieveably flavoursome gravy and there is a delicious nut roast for our vegetarian friends.
Newquay with all it’s major attractions is only 3 miles along the coast road. Local fishing lakes within ½ a mile. Mawgan Porth beach is less that ½ a mile which is ideal for sea bathing.
Watergate Bay is 1 mile away with it’s world famous extreme sports centre which includes surfing and wind kiting. Beacon Cove which is within easy reach is secluded even in the height of the season. Padstow is 5 miles up the coast.
Bedruthan Steps with its fantastic National Trust beaches is less than 2 miles away.
There is an excellent coastal path linking all these attractions.

Main access routes: From the A30- Follow the signs for Newquay Airport, after the airport turn right at the T-junction, then follow the road for approximately ½ mile. The Travellers Rest is located on your left with a large car park opposite. From Newquay- Take the coast road through Porth and Watergate Bay. Follow the signs for Trevarrian, after approximately 1-mile turn right at the junction. The Travellers Rest is located around 100 meters on the right hand side with a large car park opposite.
