Tim & Liz Hore extend a warm welcome to you to join them at the Victoria Inn, Salcombe - a traditional pub with traditional values!
Where customers really matter and service with a smile is complimentary…….
The Victoria Inn is a gem set in the centre of town and only a short stroll from the edge of the estuary - we offer everything you want from a great St Austell pub: Fantastic Cask Marque ales, Wines from around the world, Champagne by the glass and staff who will go out of their way to ensure you have a great time with us! We are hugely proud of our reputation for good pub food, and use locally sourced produce where possible.
The Victoria Inn has something that no other pub in Salcombe has - A massive garden with Sun Terraces, children’s play area and real Chickens and Ducks. We also have 2 en-suite bedrooms set in the grounds of the Victoria Inn’s garden.
The Victoria Inn – a great place to visit in Summer or Winter. Once visited, never forgotten!!
We look forward to welcoming you. Timothy & Elizabeth Hore.
Wine House of the Year at the St Austell Brewery Estate Awards 2010.
At the Victoria Inn, we recognise that first and foremost we’re a pub, but we are justifiably proud of our reputation for great food.
We source the best local ingredients wherever possible – keeping the preparation and cooking of them relatively simple, producing bags of flavour and taste. There’s nothing too frilly or fancy – just good honest wholesome cooking!
Our menu reflects the fact we are by the sea and yet close to the country – so great fish dishes and fabulous cuts of meat will always grace our menus.
Our Sunday lunches are the very best in the South Hams area and we always offer a choice of three roasted meats, usually; Sirloin of Beef, Leg Of Lamb, Loin of Pork or delicious Roasted Chicken. Plenty of fabulous crisp Roast Potatoes, home made Yorkshire Puds, roast Parsnips, plenty of fresh Vegetables, and a gravy you’ll be asking the recipe for!
Bookings are highly recommended especially for Sunday lunch and at peak season times.

Isn’t it about time you paid us a visit??
Salcombe is a beautiful small town and has found fame as a safe haven for family holidays and visiting yachtsmen.
There is so much to do in Salcombe and activities are boundless - you can sail, hire a dinghy, go scuba diving, canoeing or kayaking, cycling, horse riding, surfing, fishing, power boating, walking or just laze on one of the many beautiful beaches.
There are fantastic Coastal Path walks as well as National Trust areas of outstanding beauty in Salcombe. Further afield you can visit Woodlands Adventure Park, Sharpham Vineyard, Paignton & Dartmouth Steam Railways and South Devon Chilli Farm to name just a few of the local attractions.
The recently opened ‘Hobbit House’ (so called because of its unique low front door) is Tim & Liz’s latest offering at this great St Austell pub. Set in the beautiful pub garden grounds the Hobbit House offers two rooms; one double and one twin – both en-suite with shower rooms. Both of these rooms offer you respite from today’s busy world, yet set in the middle of Salcombe and only twenty steps from our great bar and restaurant.
Comfortable beds, tea and coffee making facilities, television with CD and DVD player, heated towel rails, fluffy towels and hairdryers will ensure everything you need is to hand. Breakfast is included in the price, and served at Captain Morgan’s (a famous Salcombe breakfast institution!) literally just across the road from the Victoria Inn and incidentally owned by Tim & Liz as well.
Unfortunately, as much as we love dogs in our pub we have decided that dogs are not allowed in the accommodation.
Prices from £70 per room per night or from £60 per room per night single occupancy.
Located in the heart of Salcombe and a short stroll from the waters edge the Victoria Inn is in an idyllic spot and has the one magic ingredient that no other pub in Salcombe can offer – a glorious ‘secret’ garden at the rear of the pub.
Please see the map for details on how to find us.
