Special Menu
This week, the owners have recently celebrated two years of trading with the introduction of a new menu for The Victoria Inn. Head chef Nicola Scorse and her team focus heavily on a daily specials menu and it’s nice to see the most popular dishes being promoted to the new menu. The traditional pub options specialise in home-made dishes using fresh local produce.

A highlight of this is the introduction of an exclusive Cornish Game Venison Burger. This award-winning item is lightly seasoned with country herbs and is neatly presented on an open bap, served with a home-made red onion coleslaw and wedges.

A delightful example from the mains would be the West Country Grilled Belly Pork with sage and onion stuffing and cider-laced gravy.

It’s nice to see offerings for those with special dietary requirements, with many of the popular dishes able to be adapted to suite. There is even vegetable gravy and gluten-free Yorkshire puddings.

Fantastic Cake

A mouth-watering lure within the restaurant has to be the dessert cabinet. Chef’s impressive arrangement of home-made desserts are hard to avoid yet easily enjoyed. The Victoria Inn Facebook page is often updated illustrating the beautiful creations that generate much chat and followings.

Special Day
Not surprisingly this village pub has become rather popular for wedding receptions and large social gatherings. It makes for an alternative option to the lavish hotel occasion. They put a lot of effort into making each event feel personal and special. Its size enables them to cater for up 120 people and has an outside, from the conservatory, which can host a marquee.

Meeting Hub
The new meeting facility has proved useful for many local businesses. It provides a bright and comfortable private area, fully equipped to enable boardroom-style presentations or training videos.
It’s easily accessible for disabled users and is available for early morning breakfast meetings right the way through the day. Many social groups and organisations have based themselves here and it’s clear to see why.
