The Blue Ball is a beautiful thatched pub & restaurant located on the outskirts of Exeter, set in large gardens with a superb children play area. Great for enjoying a drink in the sunshine, or for larger events, we can provide a heated marquee and complete planning service to ensure you enjoy a stress-free and memorable party.
Our environment is relaxed and unpretentious, our service is friendly and professional, you can indulge in drinks and nibbles on the chairs by the roaring log fire or enjoy fantastic freshly prepared dinner in either the old and traditional part of the inn, or in the new extension.
Our ingredients are always sourced as locally as possible, is freshly prepared to order and ranges from light lunches through to a full A la Carte menu. Compliment your meal by choosing from our extensive wine list, traditional cask condition real ales along with an extensively stocked bar.

The seasons dictate when our ingredients taste their very best, allowing for mouthwatering dishes all year round. As well as our lunch & dinner menu we have a blackboard of specials that change daily. What’s on the board is dictated by what is fresh and locally available that day and can range from hearty casserole's with fresh crusty bread to local Sea Bass with diver caught scallops, salsa fresco & new potatoes.
No matter when you visit the Blue Ball you can guarantee sumptuous food in a wonderful atmosphere.
Lunch is served on a daily basis 12pm - 2.30pm
Sunday Lunch is served 12noon - 8.30pm
Dinner is served on a daily basis in either the bar or restaurant area between 6pm - 9.30pm
The newly converted stable block offers comfort and relaxation for all. Facilities include 32 inch Flat screen HD TV's, Power showers, full FREE Wi-Fi and a locally sourced English breakfast. We have both Double and Twin rooms available and all rooms are en suite.
The Blue Ball is only 6 minutes from Exeter Airport and we are able to offer cctv covered airport parking for just £20 per week.
Within touching distance of Exeter Chiefs new Sandygate rugby stadium, we are also a great venue for travelling fans or players. We are ideally placed for accessing Exeter City Centre; just 10 minutes by car as well as the stunning Devon beaches and countryside - again, just a short car journey.
The inn has extensive grounds with plenty of outside space and green grass for the children. So whatever your reason for visiting us you can be sure your stay will be relaxing and enjoyable.

We provide a service for whatever you’re looking for - a sit down meal in the restaurant, close parking to the ground, family play area, tasty wholesome food and even an outside marquee for a pint to get in the spirit
