Business people in the licensed trade flocked to St Austell Brewery's annual Trade Show- the region's biggest event of its kind, to see the latest innovations and developing trends in the industry.

More than 250 licensees, managers and stewards of bars, pubs and clubs across Cornwall attended the one-day event at the Hall for Cornwall, Truro on Wednesday May 7.

Visitors to the Annual Trade Fair were able to find everything they could need to run their licensed business all under one roof, with more than 50 trade stalls at this year's event, offering everything, from a comprehensive selection of drinks, through to pub signage and umbrellas.

As well as the Brewery's own selection of award-winning ales, visitors were able to sample some of the impressive range of wines available through the Brewery's Walter Hicks wine merchants business. As the South West's largest wholesale distributor of beer, wines and spirits, the event also showcased the very best in a wide range of national drinks brands.

Ian Blunt, St Austell Brewery Sales Director said the turnout at this year's Trade Fair was really positive.

He said: "With a wide range of suppliers the event is always eagerly awaited and gives our customers and employees a chance to see what's new in the industry.

"The level of attendance and mood at the show suggests there is real optimism for the forthcoming season."
