Family brewer takes over the Ten Tors Inn St Austell Brewery has announced it has bought the Ten Tors Inn, in the picturesque village of Kingsteignton, north of Newton Abbot. Andrew Tolley, manager of the Ten Tors Inn will continue to manage the day to day running of the pub with his partner and team of just over 20 staff. The Inn is the latest addition to the St Austell Brewery estate, and will be the 167th public house to become part of the brewery portfolio. The family run Brewery, founded in 1851, already has a diverse range of pubs across the county and operates depots from north and south Devon. The Ten Tors Inn, a traditional village pub with open fires, and traditional oak features, has recently undergone refurbishment of the bar and restaurant area. The Inn also offers a function room that can cater for up to 60 people making it the ideal place for a large event. Along with the award winning range of St Austell Ales, including Tribute, Tinners and HSD the pub will soon be launching a new menu which will offer traditional, home cooked food, with locally sourced ingredients. Andrew Tolley, Manager at the Ten Tors Inn said: “We are thrilled that St Austell Brewery has invested in the Inn and look forward to building on the existing trade. “We recently launched a new homemade pizza menu which proved to be very popular and are now taking this further with the introduction of the new menu.” “Adam Luck, St Austell Brewery Estate Director, said: “We are delighted to be taking on the Ten Tors Inn which is situated in a wonderful village location hosting views across Dartmoor. “With Andrew remaining on board we very much want the Ten Tors to retain its traditional feel and continue attracting new and existing customers.
As well as great ales and home-cooked food the Inn will offer customers a high standard of service which are all the hallmarks of a St Austell Brewery pub.”
