The Isles of Scilly are renowned for their gorgeous natural beauty and the Bishop and Wolf is situated in the centre of Hugh Town, St Mary's, close to all the local amenities including the quay where boats can be taken to other islands. The Bishop and Wolf, one of the oldest buildings in town, is traditional and in keeping with Scilly's history. Artefacts and original photos from some of the 900 or so shipwrecks recorded over the centuries decorate walls. A warm welcome is offered along with good food and drink, including St Austell Brewery's award-winning Cornish ales.

The bar is open 11.00 am to 11.00 pm weekdays and Saturdays, 12 noon to 10.30 pm Sunday. Food is served from 12.00 pm to 2.00 pm and 6.00 pm until 8.30 pm with extended hours during the summer. This is served in the bar area and in the non-smoking restaurant which is open during busy periods. Children are welcome. Its beaches of pure white sand and the chance to visit one of the 5 smaller islands, a piece of the Caribbean comes to England. Various boat trips from the island to the smaller islands. Seals and puffins are a popular attraction. Local cycle shop provides bikes for hire. There are frequent fishing trips available in the summer. Local musicians play during the summer. The Isles of Scilly is an ideal place if you enjoy walking. There are various coastal paths which take you right around the island. Diving available during the summer.
