Food & Drink

dolphin_penz_fish.jpg

Succulent steaks, delicious roast dinners, locally caught fish, tempting vegetarian dishes and a tantalising array of desserts using the finest Cornish produce. We take pride in the high standard of our varied selection of homemade dishes.  Children are welcome with highchairs and children's menu available.

Our freshly cooked food is served all day from 11.00am to 10.00pm.

Ideally located on the Penzance harbour side and designed with comfort and relaxation in mind, our accommodation is an inviting and cosy place to be.

Local Amenities

The name Penzance is derived from the Cornish Pen Sans, meaning holy headland, as a chapel once stood on the point to the west of the harbour more than a millennium ago.

From Penzance harbour, ferries go to the Isles of Scilly. It is also possible to travel to the islands by helicopter from Penzance Heliport and by small plane from Land’s End Airport. A little way along the seafront in the direction of Newlyn is the art deco Jubilee Swimming Pool, opened in 1935.

Chapel Street is the most historic of the Penzance thoroughfares. At the top is the Egyptian House built in 1836 during a national craze for Egyptology. Opposite is the Union Hotel, where the death of Nelson was first announced in 1805.

Museums in Penzance include the Maritime Museum, National Lighthouse Museum,  Geological Museum and the Newlyn Art Gallery.
