The bar is open 11.00am - 11.00pm, 12.00 noon - 10.30pm Sundays. Bar Food - 12.00 noon - 5.00pm (summer only) and 6.30pm - 9.00pm. Restaurant 7.00pm - 9.00pm There is not a designated Children's menu - half portions available as well as high chairs. The Rising Sun reputation is also built on excellent cuisine and we are proud to have our chef, Ann Long, working here. Ann is the only female Master Chef in the Westcountry and her staff guarantee an extremely high professional standard of cuisine using fresh quality local produce ie. fresh fish straight from the sea into her kitchen. Boating: The Rising Sun charters their own sailing boat, Bluebell, a Falmouth working boat for a unique sail. Cycling: Reception can organise cycles from a local hire firm. Dancing: With Falmouth just over the water, Clubs are accessible for a great night out. Fishing: St. Mawes - still a working fishing village, therefore either a trip or hiring of rods can be arranged. Gamesrooms: Bar games available ie "traditional shove a half penny". For snooker and pool the B & S Club is within easy reach. Gardens: The famous 'Sun' terrace is a fine spot for a long drink as you watch the world sail by. Health & Fitness: In the next village a mall gym can be found. Music: Non normally, but Jazz/Classical evenings are being arranged in the coming months. Watersports: A variety of watersports can be arranged from waterskiing to diving etc. Other: The Eden Project and other lovely gardens such as the Lost Gardens of Heligan are on our doorstep. Transport can be arranged. Parking - onsite: We have our own car park next to the Rising Sun. Parking - offsite: A large Parish Council car park is close by for over 300 vehicles.

St. Mawes is often thought of as the Capital of Roseland. A wonderfully sheltered location coupled with some of the finest sea and river views in the County. In the heart of St. Mawes you will find, the Rising Sun. 15 miles South West of Truro, half an hours journey from the world renowned, Eden Project, a 20 minute ferry ride across the Garrick Roads to Falmouth. Main access routes: A30 to Lanlivet roundabout. A391 to St. Austell, A390 to Sticker, B328 to Tregony, B3078 to St. Mawes. New Airport - under an hour away. Truro Railway Station - 1/2 an hour.
