We're hosting the Sarcoidosisuk’s national quiz on 27th April to raise awareness and funds.

SarcoidosisUK is celebrating Sarcoidosis Awareness Month this April with a National Quiz competition.

SarcoidosisUK are the UK’s only charity raising awareness of and funding research into Sarcoidosis. Quizzes are being planned across the UK, from Perth to Penzance, with more still being added. Teams will go head to head and vie for the title of SarcoidosisUK National Quiz 2018 Champions.

The Sarcoidosis South West Quiz will be held at our Visitor Centre on Friday 27th April 2018 from 7pm and, as event organiser Andrea Forbes said, “We have a great evening planned and some fantastic prizes up for grabs. We’re excited for this opportunity to raise awareness of sarcoidosis and to raise money to go to vital sarcoidosis research.”

On top of the national pub quiz, there will also be a special charity auction in the Hicks Bar under the guidance of Heart FM’s David Dundon and a raffle offering weekend breaks, meals and a whole lot more. Table magician Ian Mitchell will be performing his wonders across the evening, followed by music from DJ Lenny B and a special guest appearance by Cornwall’s X Factor hero Benji Matthews.

All funds raised from the SarcoidosisUK National Quiz, auction and raffle will go toward ground-breaking new research which could provide the world’s first ever treatment for Sarcoidosis and the hope of finally finding a cure. SarcoidosisUK have a partnership with the British Lung Foundation (BLF) meaning every pound raised is doubled.

Tickets cost £7.50 per head and include entry to the quiz alongside a free pasty and a pint donated by St Austell Brewery. Tickets can be brought in advance or reserved online via Eventbrite by searching SarcoidosisUK SouthWest. For more information, please contact Andrea Forbes on 07737 54020.
