St Austell Brewery’s brewing team have been running full steam ahead in preparation for this year’s Celtic Beer Festival. There’s been a hive of activity in St Austell’s small batch brewery and every brewer in the team has been having fun experimenting with mouthwatering one-off brews - guaranteed to tingle the taste buds of Cornwall’s beer fans.

Raising funds for St Austell Brewery’s Charitable Trust, which helps to support numerous local charities, good causes and individuals across the South West, the festival will feature over 180 beers and ciders from across the UK. Along with a fantastic line-up of live music the vaults of St Austell Brewery are officially the place to be on Saturday November 30th (11am-11pm).

Make sure you keep an eye out for these limited-edition beers at the festival:

  • Roobarb - a 4.6% rhubarb and custard flavored pale ale, with a unique pink colour and a sweet refreshing taste. A modern twist on a sweet-shop classic.
  • Double Chocolate Stout - a 5% brew made with chocolate malts, chocolate powder AND dark chocolate!
  • Lady Hamilton - a 4.8% classic IPA that promises fun times and fruity flavours from the signature hop, Nelson Sauvin (named Lady Hamilton after the famous mistress of Lord Nelson).
  • Harlequin - a 4.8% English IPA that includes a brand-new hop, Harlequin, bringing passion fruit, pomegranate, rhubarb and mango flavours to this tasty tipple.
  • Cluster – this 4.7% India Brown Ale is full bodied, rich, and warming with a malty mahogany colour and spicy flavour.

Revellers will be able to enjoy an unrivalled range of ales, lagers and ciders, over 60 of which have been hand-crafted on site in St Austell Brewery’s small batch facility.

The £15 entry fee includes a souvenir festival glass, a full programme featuring all the beers and ciders on offer and two half pint beer tokens to kick-start your sampling sessions; this year there will also be a new £30 entry fee option offering five pint beer tokens. Additionally, this year’s festival will also feature a gin bar for the first time. All bars will be run by a team of volunteers and brewery staff, in support of the Charitable Trust.
