Korev (4.8% ABV), the Official Beer of Surfing England, has become synonymous with the South West’s free-spirited lifestyle. Brewed in the Helles style with classic hops including Magnum, Hersbrucker and Saaz, it has a wonderfully light, pale colour and a clean, crisp taste delivering the laid-back essence of the Cornish coast across the nation. Launched in 2010, Korev was one of the first beers to be part of the new wave of British lagers.
Family-owned St Austell Brewery, established in 1851, received a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2018 for its sustainable development initiatives across the business. These include a partnership with local farmers to reintroduce barley as a staple crop to Cornwall, an initiative to reduce water consumption through investment in research and development and diverting 98 per cent of its waste from landfill.
Jeremy Mitchell, Marketing and Communications Director, St Austell Brewery, said: “We’re always striving to be innovative when it comes to the functionality and sustainability of our packaging. We’re delighted to be introducing these recyclable and biodegradable Korev fridge packs for our customers – eco-friendly and perfect for sharing, whatever the occasion.”
Korev six-can fridge packs are now available in Morrison’s stores nationwide, RRP £6. The packs are also available from www.staustellbreweryshop.co.uk and supermarkets across the South West.
