Cheater Five - 4.2% ABV

Created by our newest recruit in the brewing team, Joe Roberts, Cheater Five is a delightful, straw coloured table beer named after
Joe’s favourite longboard surfing manoeuvre, invented in the 1960s by Hawaiian surf legend Paul Strauch.

Cheater Five’s full malt body belies the beer’s modest ABV and a velvety mouthfeel coupled with a bright hop blend makes for a flavoursome yet sessionable brew.

German Perle hops are used early in the boil to keep a low, clean level of bitterness which allows the American Chinook and Australian Galaxy hops to flourish. These two hops are used right at the end of the boil and in the hop back to give the big, bold flavours they are renowned for.

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask.
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
