Cherry Bomb

Having worked with us in the pub trade for 20 years, Anthony Plum knows a good ale when he sees one, but this is his first recipe as a member of the St Austell Brewing Team. Looking to create a delicious, easy drinking ale, with a name like Plum there had to be a fruity twist in there somewhere.

Traditionally crafted using Maris Otter and Crystal malts at the base and then carefully balanced with Magnum and Cascade Hops, Cherry Bomb’s fruit addition gives a crisp edge to the flavour of the brew.

As part of our Eden-inspired range, Cherry Bomb showcases locally grown cherries which are also added post-fermentation to the brew to add an extra fruit dimension that influences both the aroma and flavour of this very moreish ale.

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask.
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
