chocolate orange stout

Crafted by Mark Heamen with 20 years’ experience in the Brewing Department under his belt and a love of malty beers, this zesty beauty is packed with flavour provided by the showcase cocoa nibs, cocoa powder and orange zest added to the brew.

With a hit of English Fuggles hops providing a traditional bitter base to the stout, the malty depth is created through the addition of Maris Otter, Chocolate, Crystal T50, roasted barley and Oat malts.

First brewed back in 2013, this deliciously dark brew is beautifully balanced with Demerara sugar with extra orange zest added after fermentation for an intense citrus finish.

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask. 
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
