Drayman's Reserve - 4.9%

A Vintage IPA brewed by Barrie Phillips, one of our illustrious dray team leaders (usually located somewhere on the A30/M5 corridor in the artic!) and Rob Orton, our brewing team leader who started life on the drays one summer back in 2004 and never left the company.

Vintage IPAs were brewed using highest quality and palest malt, so we’ve used the unbeatable Maris Otter, with a splash of malted wheat. Heavily hopped and well fermented, there wasn’t much fermentable sugar left in them to cause bursting or microbial risk on the long, hot journey to India. Hopefully, with 21 years’ practice, Barrie will deliver these a lot quicker.

Blending traditional English Goldings hops with newer American hops, we’ve coupled Cascade in the boil with the Goldings and let rip in the hop back with Simcoe and Chinook for some cracking fruity and citrus flavours.

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask.
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
