Ellis's Original - 4.7%

In 1934, the breweries of Walter Hicks & Co of St Austell and Christopher Ellis & Co of Hayle combined forces to create what
we know today as St Austell Brewery.

Meticulous research through the old brewing records of the Ellis steam brewery have helped re-create a beer that Christopher Ellis himself would have brewed over 100 years ago.

Ellis’s Original is a traditional pale ale brewed with vintage barley malt, a hint of patent black malt, brewing sugar and classic English hops to deliver a classic amber ale with great malt structure and a fine and delicate aroma of fresh hops.

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask.
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
