This beer is testimony to the fact that when two greats get together, things turn out just fine.
Rooster’s Brewing Co.’s head brewer, Ol Fozard and Rob Orton, our brewing team leader first met on a hops selection trip in the US back in 2013 and love was in the air…a mutual love of hops was obvious and soon a brew was being discussed. Fast forward three years and one Small Batch Brewery later, Grandview was born!
Named after a town in the Yakima Valley, Grandview is an American Pale Ale designed to show off amazing hops. Mosaic used by Rooster’s and Citra, used by St Austell, are skilfully combined to create this late hopped beer.
Grandview has strong mango and citrus fruit aromas, followed by dry bitterness from the dry hops added just before racking the beer and tastes like a proper American West Coast ale.
For even more collaborative authenticity, a bottle of Harrogate spring water was added to the brew.

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask.
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
