harvest ale

Brewed by Simon Matthews, one of our Brewhouse shift leaders, Harvest Ale is a proper seasonal brew using fresh green hops hand-selected by Simon at Pridewood Farm, Herefordshire on Thursday 8th Sep, the very same day they were harvested.
Brewed on Friday 9th and in the pubs from the 19th, you don’t get any fresher than that. Using hops in their original, undried state gives plenty of extra fresh aroma, especially as many more are used than normal due to the higher moisture levels in the hops.
Harvest is a truly refreshing beer that celebrates the fresh hop harvest and uses our own Cornish Gold malt to create perfect balance on the palate. Look out in 2017 for a Slovenian fresh hop beer!

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask.  As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
