Hedra Gool - 5.4% ABV

Brewed by Anthony Plum: with 16 years loyal service to St Austell Brewery, mostly spent behind the bar as an award-winning
manager, before he transferred his knowledge and passion to our brewing team.

A German Oktoberfest style beer with a Cornish twist, Hedra Gool is traditionally hopped and made by a Cornishman, in Cornwall, using St Austell’s very own lager yeast – the name also happens to be the Cornish for ‘October Festival’.

A robust, medium-bodied amber beer, Hedra Gool boasts a herbal and resinous hop aroma before a clean and smooth finish due to the lager yeast and slow fermentation.

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask.
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
