Rob Orton, our Brewing Team Leader, has brewed this beer with a blend of New Zealand hops including Dr. Rudi, Green Bullet and Pacifica along with fresh mango.
An Eden inspired beer named after the wood that our traditional, early 1900s square fermenting vessels in the main brewery are made of. This first rate timber is selected for its clear length, relatively light weight and beautiful appearance when oiled or varnished. The Kauri is amongst the largest and oldest growing trees in the world and living Kauri trees are protected.

Like the timber, the ale has a light honey colour and, thanks to the added mango, bristles with exotic fruit flavours and scents, with plenty of hop bitterness and some malty Maris backbone for balance.

This beer contains barley malt

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask. 
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
