The Blue Anchor is a good community pub being family focused and serving locally sourced traditional fayre. Benefitting from an extensive refurbishment a couple of years ago creating a more open plan feel but retaining its distinct charm and character. The internal décor is to a high standard with many classic features including a double-door log burner.
There is a very large car park that is used in the summer by motorhomes as a stop off point via “Brit Stops”. There is also a large patio area set up for BBQ’s and can accommodate 60 plus covers, with a further area laid to lawn behind the patio.

Teams are a big part of the Blue Anchor, and the site does well from its entertainments programme.
