Silvertip 4.7%

Brewed by Head Brewer Roger Ryman, Silvertip is inspired by his recent travels to the hop growing regions of New Zealand. Famous for Nelson Sauvin, New Zealand continues to develop new varieties for brewers around the world. Moutere hops have only been available for the last couple of years, we are one of the first brewers in the UK to use it. They have huge notes of passion fruit, grapefruit and tropical fruit whilst providing evergreen pine flavours. Some NZ hop varieties with high oil content like Moutere can offer a harsh bitterness if not used carefully, so English Progress and Czech Saaz are used to balance the beer and allow the flavours of the Moutere to shine. This combination over a bed of Maris Otter, Chateau Aroma and Torrified Wheat malts result in a fruity and piney, balanced and characterful NZ Pale Ale.

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask.
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
