Skipper Pale Ale - 4.5%

A year ago, we welcomed visitors from Boston’s Harpoon Brewery, one of the top ten craft breweries in USA.

They were on a fact-finding mission to educate themselves in the technical and cultural aspects of brewing in the UK and were given a proper Cornish welcome facing a choppy spring swell for a traditional pilot gig race in the waters outside the historic harbour at Charlestown.

Afterwards, it was agreed that our Director of Brewing Roger Ryman would repay the visit with a trip over to Boston.

Skipper ale is the collaborative ale between the two breweries that uses British ingredients that have been combined with an American flair to deliver a classic pale ale with a contemporary twist.

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask.
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
