Target the market - 3.7%

Target the market is a classic English bitter brewed by one of our three brewing shift leaders, Grant Coles. Grant has been with the company since 2007, starting in the cask yard and working through the fermentation rooms to become a shift leader in 2016.

Setting out to craft a traditional English brew, Maris Otter and Crystal malts combine to form the backbone of this highly sessionable ale – low in ABV but still packing plenty of flavour imparted by the mix of historic Goldings and more contemporary Target hops.

Target gained rapid popularity with brewers and growers alike when first cultivated back in the 1970s due to its high flavour intensity and disease resistance. Cedar and pine aromas with grassy, caramel flavours make for an extremely enjoyable partner to the classic pub lunch!

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask.
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
