Tortuga 4.9%

First brewed for the 20th annual Celtic Beer Festival, brewer Benji White took inspiration from the famous isle off Haiti.
The flavours of Tortuga represent 17th century smuggled goods: demerara sugar, vanilla pods, cinnamon and spiced rum. Brewed
with Double Roasted Crystal malt for colour and malted oats and dextrin malt to give the beer a smooth, well-balanced mouthfeel.
The addition of demerara sugar provides a light caramel sweetness which is offset with Citra hops for a sharp citrus touch. Vanilla
pods and cinnamon are added to the boil to provide distinct yet subtle warming flavours to accompany the signature spiced rum,
which is added during racking. The result is a rich and incredibly smooth brown ale with a lush and lively flavour.

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask.
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
