Brewed by Rob Orton, our Brewing Team Leader whose second home is the Small Batch Brewery. Vesper is an Eden-inspired ale that uses Panela Sugar and a blend of yeasts.
Panela is unrefined whole cane sugar from Central and Latin America derived from the boiling and evaporation of sugarcane juice. It has far more flavour than brown sugar and is alleged to be far healthier than refined sugar.
Vesper is a harmonious blend of Maris Otter Pale, Cara, Crystal Rye Malts and Torrified Wheat along with Perle and Celeia Hops, giving it soft fruit flavours that are soon overpowered by the alcohol and followed by a crisp, candy sugar like finish.

This beer contains barley malt

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask. 
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
