Brewed by stout fan and brewer with 30-years of experience, Mark Heamen, this latest creation for the Small Batch Beer Club harks back to a bygone age when the term ‘stout’ was used to describe any strong beer. Magnum hops from Germany gives the beer a base of clean bitterness and Crystal hops from the USA provides subtle woody and floral notes with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Maris Otter Pale and Crystal T50 malts along with flaked oats and flaked barley give this beer a full body that is typical of any stout, whilst having the appearance of a pale ale. White Stout is a modern twist on a traditional classic from our very own veteran brewer.

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask. 
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
