Vanilla Bourbon Porter 5%

Back by popular demand, Vanilla & Bourbon Porter was first brewed by Rob Orton in 2016 and was the second beer in the first season of our Small Batch Brews. It was an instant hit and went on to be bottled later in the year. This rich and full-bodied porter is made with seven varieties of malts and three delicate hop varieties from the USA, New Zealand and England.

Madagascan Vanilla pods are added late into the boil and to the fermenting vessel to give divine vanilla notes. And if that’s not enough, bourbon is added to the beer post fermentation, ensuring the flavours are not lost or subdued by the yeast. Enjoy this creamy porter with its roasted chocolate and vanilla aromas and smooth bourbon finish.

This beer contains barley malt

St Austell cask ales, in line with the vast majority of other cask ales produced in the UK, are clarified by the addition of isinglass finings to the beer in the cask. 
As isinglass finings are derived from fish collagen, cask ales are not suitable for vegans or vegetarians.
