Say the magic words: our secret menu will unlock a free korev

Pssst… fancy a free beer? We’re inviting pub-goers to discover our summer secret menu, rewarding those in the know with a complimentary pint of award-winning korev lager when you order fish and chips.

Available until 5^th September, the hidden offer can be unlocked at any of our 45 managed pubs across the South West. There’s just one catch: you need to know the password.

Simply head to the bar, order fish and chips and whisper the phrase “taste of the coast” to claim a free pint of perfectly chilled korev.

Gareth James, Operations Director at St Austell Brewery, said: “Everyone loves feeling like they’ve discovered something special, so we wanted to create a fun secret menu offer for our guests this summer.

“Nothing complements fish and chips better than a crisp pint of korev, and now anyone who knows the magic words can enjoy this classic pub pairing, topped off with a free beer.”

“We’re encouraging people to spread the secret to family and friends and make the most of a great value summer treat. Better still, 25p from every portion of fish and chips sold will be donated to Children’s Hospice South West, which is the St Austell Brewery Charitable Trust’s Charity of the Year.”

Whether you’ve heard the rumour from a friend, spotted the clue online or simply stumbled across the secret, the offer is available until 5^th September 2026 across all our managed pubs.

But remember: no password, no free pint.

Further to the secret menu, those spending more than £75 in a single transaction this summer will also receive a voucher for 20% off their next visit, redeemable within seven days.
