South West Coast Path
Hike the UK’s longest, and most beloved, National Trail and visit our waymaker pubs along the way.

Step by step
The South West Coast Path can take anywhere from 10 days (the current record!) to just over eight weeks to complete, depending on your walking ability and goals. The path is the ultimate challenge for any hiker and a 630-mile-long exploration of England’s south west peninsula. It’s the UK’s answer to the Camino de Santiago. Check out each segment at the bottom of the page. A number of our pubs act as South West Coast Path waymakers and make the perfect pitstops on your journey.

Refuel for the road
You’ll quickly work up an appetite on your journey around the coast. Enjoy a freshly prepared meal, perfectly paired with a refreshing pint, in one of our South West Coast Path Waymaker pubs. Each is just moments from the trail and will keep you moving in the right direction.

Go behind the scenes
Just a stone’s throw from the South West Coast Path is the St Austell Brewery HQ. Whether for a quick pint of Tribute in the Hicks Bar, or to experience the full brewery tour, make sure you plan a detour to stop by.
From coast to coast, explore your route and take on the challenge of a lifetime
