OUR CHARITABLE TRUST

Since 2003, the St Austell Brewery Charitable Trust has been proudly supporting local charities, community causes, and individuals in need across the South West – helping to make a meaningful difference, close to home. Our annual Celtic Beer Festival is the headline fundraising event, bringing people together to raise vital funds for the communities we serve.

MAKING A DIFFERENCE

To date, the Charitable Trust has raised over £1,000,000 – a testament to the generosity and commitment of our teams and guests. We’re proud of what’s been achieved so far, and we’re committed to building on this momentum to continue giving back to communities across the South West – from Land’s End to Bath. This support has been made possible thanks to contributions from the brewery, generous donations from our guests, and the incredible fundraising efforts of our head office, depots, pub teams, and free trade partners.

HEART OF THE COMMUNITY

Through our Charitable Trust, we’re on a mission to install defibrillators outside more than 50 of our pubs, bringing vital, lifesaving equipment to communities across the South West. With 55 of our sites in areas currently without public access to a defibrillator, this campaign is all about helping more people, in more places, when it matters most.

EVERY CAUSE COUNTS

Every penny raised by our Charitable Trust goes back into local communities, supporting people and places across the South West. In 2024 alone, we raised more than £150,000. We’re proud to back incredible charities in our region, including Young Lives vs Cancer and Great Western and Cornwall Air Ambulances, plus the Royal Conrwall Hospital Trust, SARSAS and more.

Over a third of our funds go to individuals and small local groups. In 2024, £52,000+ supported everything from new wheelchairs to therapy horse riding lessons. One donation at a time, we’re helping build brighter futures.

OUR CELTIC BEER FESTIVAL

Every year, our Celtic Beer Festival throws open the doors to the historic cellars of our Victorian brewery, welcoming hundreds of beer lovers for a day of discovery, live music, and great company. With over 100 unique brews to sample, it’s a true celebration of craft and community.

Best of all, every penny of profit goes directly to our Charitable Trust – supporting charities, communities, and individuals across the South West, where it’s needed most. Keep your eyes peeled for the announcement of this year’s festival.
